Eleanor knew the mystery hidden under the desert sands; one of the Bible's most intriguing stories was not the miracle that would bring clean safe water to the world's thirsty poor as Rene believed. She knew it was instead, a weapon that could humble the world's industrial powers and they would kill to keep it hidden.

Great book. I read it on a long airplane ride and it made the time go quickly. Good characters and exciting plot. Has this author written any other books?

This is an interesting and engaging book. It's style is as sleepy and laid back as a steamy New Orleans summer, the intrigue and mystery equally haunting and alluring. Don't let the slow, easy pace fool you. This book has quite a bit to offer for a great summertime read.

What an enjoyable book! I found it quite difficult to put it down and nearly agonizing when I could not find the time to pick it up again! It is well-written with an exciting plot and interesting, well-developed characters. It is vivid and easy to read because it pulls the reader into the lives of the individuals who are central to the thrilling plot. The story unfolds like a movie in the mind; actually, it could make a really entertaining movie someday! The author has a fantastic command of language and writes natural, believable dialogue. The characters and places seem so real- I wonder if the author has based any of these on personal experiences? If this is a first novel, I hope there will be more!
