Ms. McCraw has adeptly captured the essence of a great Regency novel. The Viscount's Journey takes place during a time when one must follow the prescribed rules set by a polite society. Courtship rituals dictate that a man and woman control their impulses no matter how strong their inner passions are. Yet, because of -- or in spite of -- these societal restraints, heart rates and temperatures escalate as deeper meaning is found between the lines of dialogue, with a light touch of the hand, or in a gaze held for longer than necessary. Strong characters with secret desires make for a delightful romantic suspense. I highly recommend The Viscount's Journey!
