Christine was born and raised in London (England), but has lived more than half her life in rural Warwickshire. Always fascinated by fairytales and folklore, at the age of eighteen she discovered 'The Lord of the Rings', and her delight in Middle-earth led her to create her own fantasy world. Over the years, Earda and its stories steadily grew, rooted in Christine's lifelong love of British myth and British landscape.
As well as a writer, Christine has been (and still is, in some cases) a mother, teacher, singer, dancer, dressmaker, fanzine editor, webmistress and historical re-enactor. She has been married for over 40 years (to the same husband), has two children and two grandchildren. An active member of the Tolkien Society, she has helped to run many of their events, and her articles, papers and fiction have also been published in the society's journals.
